WebThey're notorious for having a clutch bite point at about 2mm of travel from fully depressed ;) Also my '03 Renault Twingo has its bite point about ¼ the way up, as far as I know that's pretty normal for the Mk1 Twingo in general. Then again my '89 Citroën AX had a very high bite point, just like OP's I'd say about ¾ of the way up.
